RESEARCH Analysis of Modified Resveratrol Analogues as an Anticancer Agent
EXPERIENCE: Research took place at the University of Akron from April-May 2012 and involved synthesizing a resveratrol-based anticancer agent, applying the agent to four cancer cell lines, performing various analyses to each cell line (LD50, IR and NMR spectroscopy, and fluorescence and confocal microscopy), organizing all relevant images and data onto a presentation poster, and presenting the poster to several professors and graduate and undergraduate students.

Design of a Three-Phase Medical Suction Device for Use in a Microgravity Environment
Research took place in conjunction with NASA Glenn Space Center from August 2011-May 2012 and involved design and testing of a gravity-independent three-phase medical suction device, and presentation of a prototype and other results to several NASA officials and medical professionals.
