Partnered in the development of a system that measures abnormal increases in muscle tone via electromyography and force transducer technology to prevent stroke patients from inducing flexor synergy, while performing physical therapy.
• Created an analysis algorithm to determine when the physical therapist should cease the therapy session.
• Final proposal was presented at CCNY Dept. of Biomedical Engineering Senior Design Conference.
• Awarded First Place in the 2014 Kaylie Prize for Entrepreneurship with a grand prize of $50K.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
Led the design and development of a diagnostic electromyography prototype based on a series of design specifications. Communicated with clinicians/customers in the neuromuscular field to validate product need.
• Implemented feedback from potential consumers as engineering requirements into current prototype; determined the pathway for medical device reimbursement.
• Tested the accuracy and precision of the medical device via system modeling and analysis protocols.
• Performed bench top laboratory experimentation to evaluate the feasibility of concepts.
