• Monitoring 11 start-stop units and 7 technical field trial units to track hours, engine condition, temperature, power, and efficiency as well as reporting any discrepancies found. This was done using cargowatch.com.
• Writing and completing test assignments, factory service orders, and engineering service orders to support development of the project and provide necessary documentation.
• Personal projects included engine corrosion testing, center of gravity determination, edit a macro on excel using VBA to keep track of the units on the field, sketch and design an engine harness for a new technical field trial unit, and back panel design for a technical trial unit.
• Identified problems on 3 of the test units that proved to be crucial. These included oil leakage at the turbo seal of a unit, hot shut down at premature temperatures and unusual temperature models that deviate from projection.
• Talk to the clients of the technical field trial units and mediate meetings and take notes on their expectations to report to the engineering manager. Attend and provide weekly updates on the units for feedback during team meetings as well as help with the weekly status reports. Meetings ranged from inter division meetings between Atlanta and Syracuse branch and often with 3rd party engine supplier Lombardhini in Italy.
